Service of Remembrance for The Duke of Edinburgh

Ashfield District Council Chairman, Cllr Andy Meakin will represent Ashfield at a closed Evensong Service for HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh at Southwell Minster tomorrow afternoon.

This service is by invitation-only due to COVID-19 restrictions and will include representatives of organisations across Nottinghamshire, and individuals who have a connection with the Duke himself or one of the organisations he supported.

The royal funeral for HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh will be held at St George’s Chapel, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, at 3pm on Saturday 17 April. The event will be televised.

At 3pm a minute’s silence will be held nationwide, in memory of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
