Amazon

Amazon moved into the Ashfield district in 2020, and have a fulfilment centre at Summit Park in Sutton in Ashfield. Amazon are regularly advertising their vacancies (including engineering, real estate, warehouse/distribution, HR and, IT) through their website.

Heroux-Devtek UK Ltd

Heroux-Devtek is an international company specializing in the design, development, manufacture, and repair and overhaul of landing gear, actuation systems and components for the Aerospace market.

Heroux-Devtek is the third-largest manufacturer of landing gear in the world. They employ approximately 1,960 people in North America and Europe, all of whom are proud to work in a highly technological environment that is both stimulating and people-oriented.

There is a delivery site in Kirkby in Ashfield and they are regularly looking for local talent to join their organisation. Job titles including CNC Machinists, Assembly, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Programme Managing.

ITP Aero UK Ltd

Nearly 2 years since it became ITP Aero UK, the site in Hucknall has seen year-on-year headcount growth. The number of permanent employees has grown by 63 since the beginning of 2022.

In January 2022 there were 659 permanent employees working in ITP Aero UK. There are now 722 employees, working in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and support roles. The site in Hucknall has been continually growing since the business became ITP Aero UK in May 2021, after historically being a Rolls Royce site.

ITP Aero UK has an Apprenticeship Scheme, offering opportunities for post-16 practical apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships. This follows an intake of new apprentices in 2022. They are committed to continuing this trend in the future, bringing in young new talent, to complement the experienced and skilled existing teams.

NHS - Sherwood Forest Hospitals

The National Health Service (NHS) is regularly advertising vacancies through their website; including opportunities at King's Mill Hospital. This includes roles in: administration, nursing and midwifery, allied health professionals, medical and dental, healthcare science services, and NHS support services.

SureScreen Diagnostics

SureScreen Diagnostics are a leading manufacture of medicinal products (including COVID-19 testing kits). The Derby based company are expanding and have recently set up a new delivery site at Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottinghamshire. They are regularly recruiting for positions, including roles in warehousing and assembly.

Van Elle Ltd

It is projected that the construction sector will grow by 3.2% over the next year (2023) and 19,350 extra workers will be required by 2026 in the East Midlands region. Van Elle Ltd are a large construction business based in Kirkby in Ashfield and are regularly advertising vacancies on their website. Roles include: piling, engineering, plater/welder, and production operatives.

Whitemeadow Furniture Ltd

Whitemeadow Furniture Ltd are the largest independent upholstery manufacture, with their head office at Calladine Business Park in Sutton in Ashfield. The Whitemeadow story began in the early 1990’s and whilst their footprint has grown considerably, they are particularly proud that all of their products remain hand crafted in their workshops at a great central location at junction 28 of the M1.

They currently employ over 650 staff over 4 sites, all within a 2 mile radius which total over 350,000 sq.ft of manufacturing space.
