Council works with residents and businesses to address waste problems
The Community Safety team has been working with businesses and residents of Outram Street to tackle waste problems and Anti-Social Behaviour. The service road, off Outram Street in Sutton has become an area of focus, seeing lots of excess waste making the road unsightly and attracting Anti-Social Behaviour to the area.
The team has been working tirelessly to improve the area and provide sustainable waste reduction and bin storage solutions for local businesses and residents.
The area has also benefited from additional CCTV within the area which will be used to support the fight against fly tipping and Anti-Social Behaviour, as well as provide reassurance and improve feelings of safety in the area.
In April Community Protection Officers undertook eight business waste inspections, issued four Community Protection Warnings, one Community Protection Notice and two Prevention of Damage by Pests under the 1949 act to address issues. We will continue to work with residents to help manage waste and to comply with the notices served.
