Thousands attend first ever Hucknall Fest

Ashfield District Council’s first ever Hucknall Fest welcomed thousands to Titchfield Park, last weekend.

On Saturday 6 July 2024, Titchfield Park in Hucknall played host the park’s first ever mini music festival, being headlined by Europe’s number one tribute to Mumford and Sons: Chasing Mumford.

The stage also saw a performance from Eurovision star Lindsay Dracass, as well as tributes to Taylor Swift, Rag n Bone Man and ABBA.

Elsewhere on the park, pooches from across the area took part in a dog show, with dog parents entering their fur babies into categories such as ‘Cutest Puppy’, ‘Best Rescue’ and ‘Gorgeous Golden Oldie’.

Visitors also enjoyed a funfair, inflatables, face painting, balloon modelling, meet and greets with Disney princesses and Paw Patrol and a market village filled with local businesses and crafters.

Cllr Lee Waters, Ward Councillor for Hucknall said:

"It was fantastic to see thousands of visitors to our first Hucknall Fest as part of Ashfield District Council's programme of summer events.
"We had a lot of residents enjoying some incredible tributes, visiting the funfair and entering their four-legged friends into our dog show.
"We are proud to bring such brilliant events to Hucknall and look forward to its return next year."

Councillor Jason Zadrozny, Leader of Ashfield District Council, added:

“We had a fantastic day on Saturday for our first ever Hucknall Fest on Titchfield Park that was well supported by thousands of local residents and families.
“Thank you to all of the performers and those who helped make it such a success and to everyone who came along and supported it on the day.
“We are now looking forward to celebrating our next event which will be Ashfield Show on Sutton Lawn from 9 to 11 August 2024.”
