Local businesses celebrated at awards ceremony
Ashfield District Council was proud to be a sponsor of the 2023 Chad Business Awards which saw businesses across Ashfield honoured for their achievements.
Hundreds of people gathered for the gala awards celebration on 30 November 2023, which saw awards presented across a range of categories.
The prestigious business of the year award sponsored jointly by both Ashfield District Council and Mansfield District Council, went to MiRiCal Emblems Limited, while Michael Fisher of Linney Direct was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Leader of Ashfield District Council, Jason Zadrozny said:
“We would like to congratulate all the winners and all the shortlisted businesses. You all play an immense role in the fabric of our District, providing jobs and prosperity.
This has been another busy year for the team at the Council, with a number of key projects started via the Towns Funding we secured, and business cases progressed for many. They all have the same aim; to completely transform Ashfield.
With many small businesses facing an existential crisis as they suffer the impact of high energy bills, and a squeeze to disposable incomes, Ashfield District Council continues to offer support to businesses throughout the District.
This year, Ashfield has been allocated over £3 million from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. We are concentrating on continuing to provide support to local business and provide skills development.”
