Flying Skips are postponed until Saturday 18 March

Kirkby and Rurals Flying Skips postponed

The Flying Skips, scheduled to be in Kirkby and the Rurals tomorrow (Saturday 11 March), have been postponed until Saturday 18 March due to the extreme weather.

Residents will be able to bring excess waste, small bulky items, toys, and bric-a-brac to the Flying Skips in Kirkby and the Rurals on Saturday 18 March at the following locations and times:

08.30 - 09.15 Providence Rd, near Franklin Rd
09.30 - 10.15 Rutland Rd, near Westmorland Way
10.30 - 11.15 Plainspot Rd. near Frances St
11.30 - 12.15 Westbourne Rd, near Church

08.30 - 09.15 Lindley St, near Desborough Rd
09.30 - 10.15 Lathkill Dr, near Victoria Rd
10.30 - 11.15 Royal Oak Dr, near Oakham Dr
11.30 - 12.15 Mayfield St, near Pinxton Rd

08.30 - 09.15 Angela Ave, near Westfield Rd
09.30 - 10.15 Arthur Green Ave
10.30 - 11.15 Sherwood St, Main St
11.30 - 12.15 Byron Fields, Annesley

Cllr Samantha Deakin, Executive Lead Member for Parks, Town Centres and Environmental Services, said “We have to put the safety of our bin crews, and residents, first and so we have made the decision to postpone the Flying Skips. We know how useful residents find the Flying Skips so we will be giving Kirkby and the Rural residents the opportunity to use this service in a weeks time instead.”
