Your chance to thank the NHS

Ashfield District Council’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Panel have confirmed that Richard Mitchell, Chief Executive of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be their special guest at their next meeting on Tuesday, 2 February at 7pm.  Mr Mitchell is the man in charge of Kings Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Is there any special message you would like to send to our wonderful NHS staff?  Have you got a question you would like to the man who has spearheaded our response to the biggest health crisis we’ve ever faced?  This is your chance.  We will read your responses to Mr Mitchell at the meeting.

Chairman of the Panel, Councillor David Hennigan said:

“Kings Mill Hospital are continuing to do an amazing job and this is your chance to thank all their staff.  Our panel were very keen to get Richard to the meeting.  We thank him for taking time out of what must be an unbelievably busy time for his and his army of NHS staff.”

 

Vice-Chair – Councillor Jim Blagden said:

“We all clapped for our NHS and other key workers at the start of the pandemic.  Make no mistake – our brilliant NHS staff, led by Richard saved lives.  This is our chance to put on record our thanks to everyone at Kings Mill Hospital who continue to be on the front line during this pandemic.”
