Selective licensing

On 25 July 2022 new Selective Licensing Schemes will go live in parts of Stanton Hill and Sutton Central (New Cross).

Under the scheme every privately rented home in the designated areas will require a licence. It will be an offence to let a property without it being licenced.

A Scheme guide is now available to advise property owners, landlords and tenants about how the scheme will work, their obligations and responsibilities and what they to do next.

We are encouraging property owners with homes in the designated area to apply for a licence as soon as possible. It is important the application is completed in full and all information submitted by 25 July 2022.
