Ashfield holiday activities and food programme (HAF)
Nottinghamshire Holiday Activity and Food programme (Notts HAF) is funded by the Department for Education and will run throughout Nottinghamshire during Easter, Summer, October and Winter holidays. Working with our partners, we will offer free activities and food to children and young people aged 5 – 16 years that are in receipt of benefits related free school meals.
The programme aims to support the physical and mental wellbeing of primary and secondary school children, through engagement in a wide variety of activities, and provision of a nutritious, school standard meal.
Check back here to see the next activity sessions taking place in the school holidays. Alternatively find out more about activities taking place throughout the county on the Nottinghamshire County Council's website.
Who is eligible?
Children and young people eligible or accessing free school meals can access these programmes free of charge; All you need to do is let the organiser know.
If your child/young person isn’t eligible for free school meals, they may still be able to attend the activities. The cost will differ, dependant on the activity.
You will also be asked if your child/young person has SEND or additional needs. Please let the organiser know if they have an existing Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan, receiving Additional Family Needs funding, or High-Level Needs funding.
The activities will be popular so please only book on to activities that you know your child/young person can attend. All activities must be booked in advance. If for any reason your child cannot attend the activity or you no longer require a place, please let the organiser know.
