Visit Britain / Visit England
Visit Britain / Visit England are the country’s national tourist board and they work in partnership with the industry to develop the visitor experience across England, plan the national tourism strategy, grow the value of tourism in England. They have a lot of useful information, including trade shows and events that attract international buyers and sellers worldwide, raising our regions profile. You can also sign up for the Visit Britain newsletter and keep up to date with what’s happening and importantly what support is available.

Tourism Exchange Great Britain
Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB) is a free business-to-business platform connecting tourism suppliers to a diverse range of domestic and international distributors. This is about getting noticed and making it easy for customers to find what they’re after. But it’s also about keeping businesses safe too.
The Pink Book
This is a free guide to help accommodation providers understand what legislation they need to follow. It’s useful for businesses operating at all stages, from start-ups or to more established entities and shows you how to set up your business, what licenses you need, help with marketing, Health and safety regulations and employment law.

Visit Nottinghamshire
Works with over 500 private sector partners and Nottingham City Council to grow the visitor economy for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. They can help you with specialist advice and information to help support your tourist business.

Heritage Funding Directory
Heritage Funding Directory is managed by the Heritage Alliance, Architectural Heritage Fund and the Historic Houses Foundation. It is a free guide to financial support for anyone undertaking UK related heritage projects. There are over 400 grants listed from trusts and foundations, as well as organisations offering loan finance, awards, scholarships and other ‘in kind’ resources.

The Big House Programme
This is a free bespoke package of support for creative and digital businesses with the aim of providing tailored mentoring, workshops, and grants to help with pre-start, start-ups or established or growth staged business. This programme works with other business support organisations such as Nottingham Trent University.

The Arts Council
Is the national development agency for creativity and culture. They want to grow skills, knowledge, and networks to help establish the conditions in which creativity and culture can flourish across the country. They have several grants:
- National Lottery project grants – For arts, museums and libraries projects that engage people in England with creativity
- Capital investment programme – To support cultural organisations to adjust buildings and equipment so that they can operate safely post-pandemic, improve access, seize on technological opportunities, and reduce environmental impact
- Developing your creative practice - This fund supports Individual cultural and creative practitioners thinking of taking their practice to the next stage through things such as: research, time to create new work, travel, training, developing ideas, networking.
