Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has a new JobShop, which is a free online jobs portal where businesses can promote part-time opportunities directly to university students. NTU is one of the largest universities in the UK, with more than 40,000 students, and there are many studying there who are actively searching for part-time roles through the JobShop website.

Looking for subcontracting opportunities – Ashfield area

Héroux-Devtek

Héroux-Devtek, based in Kirkby in Ashfield, is searching for suppliers that would be interested to enter into a partnership regarding the below subcontracting:

  1. Benching
  2. Circular grinding
  3. Machining
  4. Capacity for aeronautical assembly work for OE and MRO work streams

Héroux-Devtek produces parts for the aeronautic sector and these would most likely be landing gear components (aluminium or steel), however the supplier doesn’t need to be certified with AS9100. This is a great opportunity for local businesses and depending on the supplier’s capability and capacity, this could be an operations by operations or a full part of the process.

This is a great tool for training employees while also helping staff feel valued, leading to higher retention levels. The company can fit water-saving devices, replace any old fixtures and fittings, and identify opportunities to fix leaks, all for free. Mentor City in Ohio has opportunities for local companies across a broad range of industries.
